A miracle is really the only way to describe motherhood and giving birth. It’s unbelievable how God has made us women and babies to endure and be able to do so much. A miracle, indeed. Such an incredible blessing.

I am blessed to be a mother of two sons  practicing as a Registered nurse and advanced midwife.

I believe that midwifery is the art of being with a mum not only during the labour but throughout the pregnancy, and long after.
The relationship begins from the first visit and is nurtured with trust and care to create the birth setting that the ‘Parents to be’ have dreamed of.  There is no way of predicting an outcome of labour, therefore I strive to provide the safest outcome whilst respecting their birth preferences. I’m passionate about  providing the expectant parents with professional care and positive birth outcome, keeping abreast with current advancements.

I trained at Coronation nursing college and University of Johannesburg. I have worked in the public and many private sectors. I have been practicing midwifery since 1999, working in various hospitals and clinics.  This had influenced and  encouraged me to establish my private practice in 2005. I currently practice midwifery with Genesis Maternity Clinic as my main birthing clinic. I have practicing rights at Oxford Rd Day Clinic, Brenthurst Clinic and Parklane Hospital and utilize these hospitals as the emergency back-up hospitals. I also practice as a senior fertility sister at the BioART Fertility Clinic. At every birth I never fail to forget what a miracle  the process of conception and birth is.
