“ "Birth is not only about making babies. It's about making mothers~ strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and believe in their inner strength." ~ Barbara Katz Rothman
Whether your baby was born with the use of medications, naturally, or via caesarean section, giving birth is always a sacred journey and one of the most vulnerable, raw, and natural experiences a woman can go through. The intensity and harmony that accompanies childbirth is a place where both children and stories are born. We would love to hear your birth story if your birthed at Genesis Maternity Clinic, please share yours!
Your birth story matters
We recognize the importance of sharing and reading birth stories. Ina May Gaskin ( a world renowned midwife), said, “Birth matters. It matters because it is the way we all begin our lives outside the source, our mother’s bodies. For each mother, it is an event that shakes and shapes her to the innermost core.” It is a spiritual journey that offers women the opportunity to explore their strengths and weaknesses. A journey so sacred it offers a glimpse into our deepest selves.
Empower one another
Women can improve birth by passing down their knowledge. The handing down of birth stories helps women prepare for birth, reflect, and learn from one another. At their core, all women carry an ageless knowing of the divine feminine. This is what improving birth is all about ~ women connecting in order to empower one another.
