It is customary for each newborn to be checked by a paediatrician before going home. One of the paediatricians working with Genesis Clinic will be on site each day to examine all of our new arrivals.
Please note that this visit is for your own cost if baby is not covered by a medical aid. An amount of R880 will be added to your account when one of our paediatricians has seen your baby for his/her initial assessment after a natural birth.
For an emergency caesearean,the amount of R2335, will be added to your account to cover the paediatrician fees.
Well baby

There is a Well Baby clinic operating from Genesis Clinic run by Sister Claire Bracher, where moms can return for weigh-ins and immunisations. Claire is also a qualified lactation consultant who can be of assistance with breastfeeding issues.
Better balance and hearing - the ladies from this team of audiologists are available to check your baby's hearing. This is done on site and the results are immediate. Their fee is R290 and needs to be settled in cash with the audiologist directly.
