**Please note that all private patients are required to pay an amount of R 22 000 as a deposit for their births (this excludes the non-refundable booking fee) by their 36th week of pregnancy. Following a normal delivery the balance will be refunded to you. Refunds are done on the 15th of every month.
All private patients are charged using fixed fees. We assume that there are no complications, and that the length of stay is not exceeded. In the event of complications, fees will be billed accordingly.
The fees listed above exclude:
- Medications (ethicals) used during your labour and birth
- Any extra ethical items used
- Fees charged by another service provider (e.g. gynaecologist, anaesthetist, private midwife, paediatrician).
Paediatrician Fees
An amount of R 880 will be added to your account when one of our paediatricians has seen your baby for his/her initial assessment.
Gynaecologist/Anaesthetist Fees
Should you require an emergency caesarian section or need an epidural, please note that the gynaecologist/anaesthetist fee needs to be settled with them directly.
NST (Non Stress Test)
All moms are entitled to three practitioner recommended NST’s free of charge, over the duration of their pregnancy.

Medical aid clients will be charged according to the National Health Care Network Scale of Benefits, as negotiated with your medical aid.
